Recently, Ms.Kelly’s and Mrs.Cooke’s 5th classes were invited to participate in a Local Authority Waters’ Citizen Science workshop with Donal O’Keeffe. They examined local water samples for insect life which would determine whether the river is polluted or not. Thankfully, the testing shows that there is no evidence of pollution at present. All the children really enjoyed the workshop and working as scientists.
