Bootcamp

27th February 2017

Dear Parents,

We are writing to you regarding our annual after school Boot Camp which has proved most popular and successful in recent years.

Due to the demand for places last year unfortunately some children were very disappointed as places were limited and not everybody could be accommodated.  Therefore, this year we are planning two bootcamps, the first for senior classes for 4th, 5th & 6th classes.  The second bootcamp will be for 1st, 2nd & 3rd classes. This year we have some parents on board who have volunteered to help us with these bootcamps.

Our first bootcamp for children from 4th, 5th and 6th classes begins on Thursday 16th March and will run for 6 weeks.  We will be in contact after Easter with regard to the Junior bootcamp.

Our fitness training this year for pupils from 4th to 6th class will be on Thursday afternoons each week after school from 3.00pm to 4.15pm and to combine this training with fundraising for our school we will be charging €20 per pupil for a series of 6 sessions.  This money will be payable in advance as places will be limited.  All money collected will go towards school funds.

Each session will comprise of station training including: Dodge Ball, Unihoc, Aerobics, Football and Athletics among other sports and activities.

If your child wishes to participate please sign the attached form and return to your class teacher by Tuesday 7th March 2017.  However as places are limited and will be granted on a ‘first come first served’ basis, please register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
