We were delighted to participate in The Big Travel Challenge in February as part of our theme Global Citizenship: Travel. Each day, our wonderful Green-Schools Committee collected โ€˜scores on the doorsโ€™ from each class. We kept a record of the number of children travelling to school in a green way each day. Well done to Mrs. Maddenโ€™s 6th Class who had the highest numbers over the fortnight.

We held our Day of Action on February 11th. A massive 60% of our school community travelled to school in a sustainable way. We also had many boys and girls who โ€˜blingedโ€™ their bikes, scooters and shoes in honour of our day of action. Well done to our winner, Maisie!

We held a competition to create a Green-Schools mascot. Congratulations to our winner, Georgie, who created a fabulous travel mascot named Tilly the Turtle. Look out for her around our school in the weeks to come!

Our Green-Code for our travel theme was created by Hailey, who very creatively came up with the catchphrase; โ€˜Stop driving, start thriving!โ€™ Well done to Hailey and thanks to all our competition entrants during The Big Travel Challenge!
