On Thursday June 20th, the Green-Schools Committee organised and carried out a Beach Clean as part of our work towards achieving our next Green Flag; Global Citizenship: Marine Environment.
We collected our materials and headed off to the North Beach and Duckpond. We were delighted to see there wasn’t quite as much litter as we had expected but we still managed to collect a considerable bag of rubbish during our walk. We were blessed with great weather and the boys and girls did a fantastic job clearing the local area of litter. We were complimented by many members of the public during the Beach Clean which helped the children realise the importance of all their hard work. Well done to all involved and many thanks to Niamh for accompanying us on our trip!
