On Friday, 3rd February 2023 one of our most prestigious past pupils made a return visit St. Joseph’s. Dr. Patrick Kavanagh is a renowned and highly regarded astrophysicist who worked on the development of the James Webb Telescope. During his visit he gave a fantastic presentation to the pupils on his journey from being a primary school student in St. Joseph’s NS to his appointment as Professor of Astrophysics in Maynooth University and his involvement in the development of the James Webb telescope. We thoroughly enjoyed his presentation and we are immensely proud of his achievements.
