We are working hard again this year to promote Gaeilge in the School. We are implementing the following initiatives:-
1: Fáilteoiri ag on Doras: Children greet parents and students
2: Ticéidí: If children speak Irish outside the classrooms they can earn two tickets per week. When they have 5 tickets they received a wrist band.
3: Gaeilge Sa Bhaile: We ave extended our ticéidí scheme to ‘Gaeilge Sa Bhaile’. If the boys and girls speak some Irish at home every day for a week, they can earn two tickets.
4:Scéinn na gComrádaithe: Children from Senior Classes help Infant Classes to learn rannta agus amhráin.
5: Ciorcail Liteartha: Once a month we read a story at lunchtime and learn a few nathanna cainte.
6: Seachtain na Gaeilge: We organise various events (a) Tráth na gCeist (b) Ceolchoirm na Cásca
(c) Seanfhocal An Lae (d) Cluichí (e) Céilí Mór.
